Connie Halvorson-Tran

Connie Halvorson-Tran started at Orting Elementary School for the 2023-24 school year. She came to Orting from the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District, where she has served as an assistant principal since 2017. Her extensive background in instructional leadership, behavorial support and building and leading intervention systems was a highlight in the interview process. Prior to entering school administration, Tran served as an elementary teacher and instructional coach with the Olympia School District.

As an Orting resident herself, Tran has a vested interest in building a community and creating a school where "all students have access to high-quality education that prepares them for success in their future."
